For the past few months, our focus has been on the small island municipality of Vieques off the eastern coast of Puerto Rico. This community was hit hard and faces the additional challenge of being physically separated from the rest of Puerto Rico. As the 2018 Atlantic hurricane season rapidly approaches, our focus is on making the island ready to weather the next storm.
We’ve been honored to host some groups of volunteers over the past weeks who have gone above and beyond to help the people of Vieques. Thank you to everyone who has come down here to work with us, and we look forward to welcoming many more generous and motivated volunteers over the coming months.
